Laying on of Hands

Jesus practiced it as a blessing (Mark 10:13-16), and it has been used by Him and others for healing and conferring office. We believe in the doctrine of the laying on of hands for: (a) the confirming of one's call by god to a special ministry in the local church (Acts 13:1-3); (b) the ministry of healing of the sick through the Lord Jesus Christ (James 5:14-16); and (c) the blessing of compassion.
