Welcome!
Bulletin for the 3rd Sunday of July 2010
__________________________________________________________________________
WELCOME
We’re happy to have you here! We pray that you’ll receive inspiration and blessing to see you through your week ahead and information that will help prepare you for eternity!
We are in a series of sermons about freedom this month. More than living in a free nation, we’re focusing on being free in Christ, living for Him and not the fleshly desires of the sinful nature.
Last week we looked at the fact that Christ calls us to be different from the world. Instead of being “chameleon Christians” that blend in, He wants our lives to stand out for Him in a positive way. We don’t have to be negative, condemning individuals which is often the perception of church members these days. We can live with the priority of putting Christ first and others will see Him in us and know we’re different from the world. Our lives should be a tangible expression of His love, peace and joy through the Holy Spirit,
One area we tend to look more and more like the world is our language. Many of us need to address the problem of “potty mouth”. The Bible tells us not to let any "unwholesome talk come out our your mouth”, nor the scripture says, “should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking” (Ephesians 9: 29-5:16). In other words our words should be a reflection of Christ, not a reflection on HIM!
The goal of this series is growing in Christ and surrendering to His will. It’s through seeking the fullness of Christ that we find real joy, peace and love. Trying to live between two world is a little like straddling the fence with barbed wire. You’re going to get hurt before it’s all over!!!
Please take a moment to fill out one of those yellow attendance cards that you will find in the holder on the pew in front of you. Drop it in the offering plate when it is passed down your row. We like to put names with faces. Thanks!!!

We sang patriotic songs with gusto. Watched an awe-inspiriting video: “America You’re Too
